15 DAYS ITINERARY – TREKKING & DISCOVERY

Here is one of our 15 days tours but remember, our itineraries are designed with flexibility in mind, to perfectly match your preferences (hiking, relaxing, snorkeling, swimming..). Let us help you craft the ideal journey for you. And if you prefer staying in a hotel instead of campsites, please let us know.

Day 1 : Abu Dhabi – Hadiboh (Socotra)

Welcome to Socotra. When you arrive, your tour guide will welcome you with open arms to lead you to your first destination is the lovely Arher Beach and its tall cliffs, white sand, and fresh water coming from a little waterfall and jumping into the sea.

In the afternoon, you can swim or climb one of the big sand dunes for incredible views of your surroundings. After that, we’ll enjoy a nice dinner and spend the night camping on this amazing beach.

Day 2 : Homhil or Hoq cave, Erissel

On this day we will start by exploring Homhil Infinity Pool, located in a protected area in Socotra. Here, you’ll encounter natural pools, small Socotri animals and a rich tapestry of Socotri trees, including the iconic Dragon Blood Trees. To get to our lunch spot, we can either walk for an hour or get to the car (10 minutes’ walk).
After lunch, we’ll climb to the mysterious Hoq cave, to see its renowned stalagmites, stalactites, and flowstones. Here you’ll have an immersive experience, he cave dosen’t have any artificial light nor walkways.
After that we will drive to Ras Erissel, the most eastern corner of the island. Here, you can relax, take pictures of the small crabs, and witness yet another amazing sunset.

Day 3 : Kilisan, Dihamri

Today we’ll drive to Kilissan Wadi, the island’s largest natural water pool. We’ll hike into the canyon, to get to the wadi and on this walk you’ll admire endemic trees and white limestone cliffs. You might even see the color-changing chameleons that call this place home!

You can take your time and enjoy, immersing yourself in the beauty of the wadi. You can swim, jump from the cliffs and explore the waterfalls.

After lunch we’ll get to Dihamri Marine Reserve to continue our adventure. This protected area is a snorkeler’s paradise, offering some of the island’s most exquisite underwater experiences. You can snorkel or, if you’re eager to explore further, scuba dive with a dive master, available with diving equipment for rent.
During your underwater experience (scuba dive or snorkel), you’ll probably encounter an array of marine life, from graceful sea turtles and cunning octopuses to majestic leopard eels and colorful parrot fish.

Day 4 : Zahek

On the day ahead we’ll get to the south of Socotra Island, all the way down to the wide-open Noged plains. Our special spot for the day is the beautiful Zahek sand dunes, right by the Indian Ocean, with its bright beaches and turquoise waters.

As the sun moves in the sky, you’ll see this amazing place on different lights. You can climb the sand dunes and see everything from up high and if you do this in the late afternoon, you can see a view like no other and a breathtaking sunset.

Day 5 : Diksam

Today, after breakfast, we’ll explore Dagub Cave, its rock formations and waterfalls. After visiting the cave, we’ll ascend to the unique Diksam Plateau, home to the fascinating Dragon Blood trees.
As we hike across the national park (or drive if you prefer), you’ll be greeted by the surreal sight of these iconic trees lining our path to the Wadi Dirhur canyon and its palm trees and bottle trees.
From there, we climb to the Firmihin Forest, the heart of the Dragon Blood Tree forest. Here, we’ll enjoy lunch under these ancient giants, followed by an afternoon in the forest. Later on, if you still have energy, we’ll walk for a sunset photo led by a local guide and designed to capture the beauty of this ethereal landscape. Our day concludes with dinner and a night camping in the forest.

Day 6 : Qalansiyah and Detwah Lagoon

This morning we head towards the west of Socotra, to a charming village called Qalansiyah, the second-largest settlement on the island and a gateway to the famous turquoise waters and white beach. You’ll have time to explore the area, enjoy some swimming, walking, hiking and relaxing time.

After lunch we’ll visit the cave, where we’ll meet a local man, the caveman, who used to live there with his family and who knows the lagoon inside out. He’ll share stories and informations with you and, I you’re lucky, he’ll catch a fish or two.

We’ll camp on the beach at Detwah Lagoon, the protected area that we can explore, right where the Arabian Sea kisses the Indian Ocean.

Day 7 : Shoab beach

Our destination for this morning is Shoab Beach, a secluded place, reachable only by the sea. Keep your eyes open for playful dolphins along the way. there you’ll have plenty of time to soak in the sun and take a refreshing swim.

After a nice lunch at the campsite, it’s time to enjoy some well-deserved rest, you’re on holiday after all! As the evening approaches, you’ll get the chance to capture breathtaking sunset photos at two incredible locations. First, we’ll climb a small mountain for a top view of Detwah Lagoon, with its blue waters and white sands. Then, we’ll get on the car and drive to a scenic viewpoint offering a panoramic vista of the surroundings.

Day 8 : First day of trekking and Wadi Adouna

Today, we will rise early and journey to Adouna village, marking the beginning of our trek. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by our cameleer and camel, ready to embark on our ascent to Hagher Mountain. Along the way, we’ll be treated to breathtaking vistas and have the chance to refresh ourselves with a swim in the Wadi pools. Our day will end at the campsite, where we will gather around the campfire to enjoy dinner together.

Day 9 : Second day of trekking, Fa’arah mountain and Dersemoh

Getting an early start is key to a comfortable hike, so we’ll rise with the sun again this morning. Our journey begins with a climb to the summit of Fa’arah Mountain, the region’s tallest peak at approximately 1500 meters. From this vantage point, we’ll enjoy spectacular views of Hadiboh below us. The ascent will take us around 2 hours, with the descent matching that time. After our hike, we’ll refuel with lunch before continuing our hike to Dersemoh. Here, we’ll have the opportunity to swim in the Wadi, enjoy a pleasant dinner, and stay overnight, soaking up the tranquility of our surroundings.

Day 10 : Third day of trekking, Dixam and Firmihin Forest

Rise and shine! On our third day of trekking we’ll begin our hike from the Wadi, heading upwards. Our destination is Diksam, known for its legendary Dragon Trees. As we journey through the Firhim Forest, prepare to be captivated by the sight of these towering trees. Our day will conclude at the campsite, where we’ll enjoy dinner and settle in for the night.

Day 11 : Fourth Day of trekking and Ameq Beach

Today marks the final day of our trek. We’ll take a leisurely walk to meet our driver, who will greet us warmly with a smile. After enjoying lunch together, we’ll make our way to Ameq Beach, where you’ll have the chance to swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. We’ll end our day with dinner and spend the night at the famous Zahek Dunes.

Day 12 : Qalansyia and Dewath Lagoon

Today, we’ll have a relaxed schedule. We’re heading to Qalansyia to soak in the views and crystal-clear waters of the Detwah Lagoon. You’ll have plenty of time to swim, unwind, or, if you’re in the mood for a bit more adventure, enjoy a short hike.

Day 13 : Trekking in Ayhaft Canyon National Park

Today, our adventure takes us to the Ayhaft Canyon National Park, a place renowned for its rich collection of unique trees, plants, and bird species—a true natural nursery. Along the way, we’ll come across large, refreshing freshwater pools where we can take a moment to enjoy. The hike is expected to last around 6 hours.

Following our exploration, we’ll head to Delisha Beach, where we’ll relax with dinner and spend the night.

Day 14 : Delisha beach

Today, we’re setting aside time for relaxation at the beach. You’ll have the opportunity to swim, stroll along the shore, or explore the stunning sand dunes. As the day transitions into evening, we’ll have the chance to climb the dunes again, this time to witness a breathtaking sunset.

We’ll conclude our day with dinner and spend the night either at Delisha Beach or in the comfort of the hotel.

Day 15 : Airport

Everything good has to end, it is time to get to the airport after a pleasant breakfast to fuel your day. We’ll get you to the airport, ensuring you reach your departure gate in good time for your flight home.
